Founded in 1946 by the visionary philanthropist Sri B. M. Sreenivasaiah, B.M.S. College of Engineering (BMSCE) holds the distinction of being India’s first private engineering college. Located in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, the institution has played a pioneering role in shaping technical education in the country.

Over the decades, BMSCE has expanded its academic offerings to include 14 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate programs across various disciplines. The college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and has been granted autonomous status, allowing for a curriculum that emphasizes innovation and industry relevance.

The campus, spread over 11 acres, is equipped with modern facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories, research centers, and a well-stocked library.
