Dayananda Sagar University (DSU)

is a prominent private university located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Established in 2014, DSU is part of the Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI), which has a legacy dating back to the 1960s. Founded by the late Sri R. Dayananda Sagar, the institution began with just four students and has grown into a global educational powerhouse, now serving over 17,000 students across five campuses

    Spanning 132 acres, DSU’s main campus is situated in Devarakaggalahalli, Harohalli, on Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru. The university offers a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in fields such as Engineering, Computer Applications, Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Health Sciences, and Law. Admissions are conducted through various channels, including the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), COMEDK, and the Dayananda Sagar Admission Test (DSAT) .

    DSU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its Engineering programs . The university’s curriculum is designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, ensuring that students are industry-ready upon graduation.

    The institution boasts a strong emphasis on research and innovation, with dedicated research centers focusing on areas like Data Mining, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, and Nano Materials. Additionally, DSU houses the Dayananda Sagar Entrepreneurship Research and Business Incubation Foundation (DERBI), supported by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, to nurture budding entrepreneurs and incubate technology ventures .​
