What direct MBBS admission actually means
Private and deemed colleges reserve a share of seats that are filled through management or NRI quota after the government counselling rounds. These seats still require a valid NEET UG score, but the competition is based on availability and fee category rather than state merit rank alone.
Eligibility for direct MBBS admission
You need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, a minimum of 50% in PCB for the general category (40% for reserved categories), and a qualified NEET UG score for the current year.

Admission timeline
The cycle starts with the NEET result, followed by KEA and COMEDK counselling rounds, then management quota and mop-up rounds. Most private seats are settled between July and October.
