For most families this is the largest education investment they will ever make. This handbook covers what parents need to verify at each stage.
Verify the college first
Check NMC approval, affiliating university, current intake and hospital bed strength before discussing fees with anyone.
Understand the total cost
Ask for the full five-and-a-half-year cost including tuition, hostel, university fees and deposits — not just the first-year figure.
Payment discipline
Every rupee should go to the college's official account against a receipt. No cash, no third-party accounts, no exceptions.
Documentation checklist
Keep originals and at least six attested photocopies of every certificate ready before counselling begins.
- NEET scorecard and admit card
- 10th and 12th marks cards
- TC, migration and conduct certificates
- Aadhaar, category and domicile certificates
What a good consultant does
Gives you written fee information, never guarantees seats, routes payments to the college, and stays available after admission for documentation follow-up.
